Abstract

Due to its essential role in various sectors of the economy, a shortage of natural gas can pose a significant threat and cause severe disruption to national businesses. Natural gas is a vital energy source used for generating electricity, industrial processes, heating, and as a feedstock for petrochemicals. Manufacturing, agriculture, and transportation industries heavily depend on a consistent supply of natural gas.
