Abstract

Longan is one of the most important agricultural products that has high economic significance in Thailand. Longan has been widely consumed by both domestic and international people in form of fresh fruit or dried product. From the statistical data in 2012, the volume of exported longan products was as high as 596,418,680 kilograms, generating over 19.8 trillion THB in value (Office of Agricultural Economy, 2012).
